Nathan Lane and Brian Dennehy are featured
in Eugene O’Neill’s original production directed by Robert Falls.
Much of the production takes place in Harry Hope’s saloon where a
band of miserable drunks hang out awaiting the arrival of their
favorite patron Hickey. This time a newly sober Hickey gives a new
outlook on life and tries to help out his friends who are slowly
wasting away. As he tries to fix their lives it leads to a series of
events that are both comical and dramatic.
The play takes place in the early 20th century and has overpowering
political tones centering on anarchism and socialism. The play will
be running at The Goodman Theater April 21st through June 10th. Gold
